Seller Guide - Getting Paid

In order to receive payments through The Dindi Store you need to be set up with a Stripe account. Stripe is a world standard online payment processing platform which allows a customer's credit card to be charged and the revenue split off to each seller. Think of Stripe just like the EFTPOS machine you have in your shop, but online.

The Stripe dashboard allows you to see all of your transactions and allows you to make deposits into your account from revenue received.

There is no cost to register with Stripe however for each transaction they charge a 1.75% + 30 cents payment processing fee for domestic cards or 2.9% + 30 cents for international cards. Payments are usually made to your Stripe account within 2 business days following a sale for most accounts but for some Stripe setups there may be a reserve applied which withholds a portion of the money for a longer period before releasing to you. You can find out more about this here. You will be advised at Stripe setup if a reserve will be applied. This is the only charge to you for being involved with The Dindi Store. To begin setting up the connection, go to the STRIPE CONNECT CONFIG under Orders

In the screen that opens, click the green button ADD ACCOUNT TO STRIPE. This will open a Stripe website page for sign up or login (if you already have a Stripe account.)



If you do not have a Stripe account then you will need to complete the form to activate a Stripe account.

Here is some info for a couple of fields you may need help with:

Business website – you can use your own or www.thedindistore.com.au if you don’t have one (this may produce an error notice but it’s ok to ignore this)

Describe what you sell, whom you sell to….. – Just entering the type of products you sell here will suffice

Statement Descriptor – This is your business name

Once you’ve completed the form, the Two-step authentication process and set your Stripe account email and password you can click the AUTHORISE ACCESS TO THIS ACCOUNT button. Clicking this button will connect your account and you should see this message.

Once this is done, you will also need to verify your email address for Stripe. Check your email account and follow the steps to verify your email address.
